We had such a great time celebrating Ally's 7th birthday! It is just so crazy to think that in 1 year she will be getting baptized! For her special day she went to school and then Jake, Megan, Annalise and I all came to her school with cupcakes to help celebrate. All of the kids in her class loved it because they were able to see baby Jake. They always love it when Annalise and Megan come too. It was fun to be there and see Ally just shine on her special day. We all came home and got ready for her "party." We told the kids this year that they could invite one friend to come with us on their special day to do a fun family activity instead of a party. Planning a big party with a lot of kids is the last thing that I want to try and do these days! They think this idea is super cool anyway. Of course she picked her favorite friend Nick to come along. He lives across the street from us and they have been in the same class at school for 2 years now. They are in the same Sunday school class at church and they just love playing together.
We all loaded up and went to a place called kiddie acres. We have never been there before so we thought we'd try it out. It is supposed to be a bit more for younger kids like Megan's age but Ally didn't care one bit! It is a little kids amusement park. It is pretty run down but that didn't stop everyone from having a ton of fun. They all were able to ride each ride one time and took a break for some ice cream in between. Josh went around with them most of the time and I sat and fed Jake but it was still fun being able to see how much fun they were having.
After all of our tickets were used up for the rides we went to McDonald's for dinner and more playing. It was so funny how thrilled the kids were that we were going to McDonald's! When the kids had had their fill we came home for cake and ice cream and then presents. Ally's favorite gifts by far were the two Taylor Swift cds that we gave her. She listens to them everyday and loves that she is old enough to switch them back and forth on her own! It was a really fun day together. I wish we could do things like that more often because we always have such a great time as a family. Too bad everything costs so much money!! Happy Birthday Ally! You are an amazing little girl. I have no doubt that you will one day grow to be an amazing woman. I love you!
