4th of July

On the 4th of July our friends the Harlows invited a bunch of families over for a BBQ and lots of fun kid activities. They just got a new play-scape in their back yard and they put out a slip-n-slide and a little pool and the kids had a blast eating, getting wet and playing. The adults had fun hanging around and chatting. After wards we went with our friends the Motts to a cool place they had found to do fireworks. Where we live we are not allowed to light fire works inside the city limits. The place they found was outside the city limits so we were good to go! We went to the firework stand and Josh was like a kid at a candy store! I had to give him a price limit to stay under other wise he would've spent his life savings! He loved all of the cool new fireworks they have come up with since we were kids. This is the first time we have done our own fireworks since we have been married, so it was pretty neat. Anyway, a few more families from the BBQ came with us and we all just had a blast watching all of the cool fireworks that everyone brought. The kids had fun with the sparklers and being with all of the other kids. Towards the end we were able to see the professional fireworks off in the distance and that was fun to see as well. The best of both worlds! It was a fun memory for the kids but they sure were tired when we got home from being outside all day long!
