Camping at Berry Springs

In March our friends the Jacobs invited us to go camping in Georgetown at Berry Springs Park. This was actually our first time going “actual camping” (camping in a tent opposed to a cabin)! The girls were so excited to sleep all together as a family. Josh bought a 6 man tent a couple of years ago when he was the Young Men's President so he could have his own for campouts, but he does not like camping, so he didn't use it much. I finally convinced him to try it out as a family and he was a good sport and agreed. It wasn't bad at all! We brought our queen size air mattress and we slept well on it. The only problem was that it got really cold in the middle of the night. My face was freezing! Megan was in a pack-n-play and the girls were in sleeping bags on the floor. At home Megan has her own room, so she is used to sleeping by herself. I think she was a little too excited to be together because she was awake all night long!! She was also cold and so had a hard time sleeping. She was adorable though because we told her that we needed to be very quite so that everyone else could sleep. She was such a good little girl because even though she was up all night long talking to both Josh and I...she whispered the entire time!! hahaha She is such a doll, but it drove Josh crazy having her chatting all night long!

We had a great time skipping rocks and playing on the playground. We played games that night after the kids went to bed and met some new friends and just made some great memories. I can’t wait to do it again!
