We were so glad that Grandma Nixon was here for Ally's first dance recital! Ally was just as excited as could be to perform for all of the moms and dads! She is a natural born performer. She was just smiling the whole time and did an amazing job! Josh and I were so proud of her and it was just amazing to see our little girl looking so old and grown up. Josh was an awesome dad and made sure that he bought her flowers to give to her afterwards. She didn’t know he had them, so when she saw all of the other little dancers with their new flowers she seemed kind of sad. Then she came down the hall and saw her daddy holding out her own special flowers!! I didn’t get the initial picture but let me just say that it was priceless! She was the happiest girl in the world and felt like such a princess!
It was so cute because before we went to the recital Ally was very concerned about the fact that her costume was "immodest." She is such a good girl and has a real desire to do what is right. It was just really sweet. We haven’t decided what to do about that in the future is she continues dance.
After the recital we went out and got a treat from Sonic which the kids had never done before, so they thought that was pretty special. It was a wonderful night and one we will always remember!
